i-System: Minimally invasive, maximally predictable.
Short bone-level implants with a 1.5° locking conical connection, a sloping shoulder and a fin-type body — designed to make implant surgery a straightforward procedure even in highly compromised cases.
Explore the design
Macro–micro design
i-System implants combine micro and macro design features that provide case-specific outcomes with long-term function and aesthetics.

- 01
1.5° locking conical connection
A precision-machined taper gives the abutment an accurate fit inside the implant and is designed to prevent micromovement and microleakage.
- 02
Sloping shoulder
Space for hard and soft tissue even where tissue volume is limited; safer to place close to a tooth or another implant.
- 03
Square-edged fins
Fin geometry for stress distribution to the alveolar bone and increased bone–implant contact.
- 04
Inter-fin distance
Optimised spacing for biomechanical stress distribution and a larger surface for bone-to-implant contact.
- 05
Anti-rotational channels
Together with the square fins they increase resistance to rotational forces and connect the vascularity of consecutive grooves.
- 06
Incrementally deepening grooves
Enhance the surface area and distribute functional load.
- 07
Biconical inner–outer body
Mechanical stability and stress distribution to the surrounding hard tissue.
- 08
Safe apex
Flat apex for controlled insertion in the proximity of the mandibular nerve and the sinus membrane.
- 09
i-mimetic surface
Surface structure intended for osseointegration and cell attachment, in harmony with the macro design.
Implant range by well
Implant width from 3.0 to 6.0 mm and height from 4 to 10 mm. The prosthetic well — 2.0, 2.5 or 3.0 mm — depends on the implant width and defines the matching abutment post. Ø3.0 and Ø3.5 implants are intended for lateral and mandibular incisors; 2.5 well implants for the anterior maxilla.

2.5 well
Ø4.0 and Ø4.5 implants in 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm; 2.5 post abutments are recommended in the maxillary anterior region.

3.0 well
Ø4.0 to Ø6.0 implants from 4 mm; the short range for posterior sites with limited bone height.

Prosthetic components
Abutment width 4.0–6.5 mm; post heights a, b and c correspond to 4, 5 and 6 mm above the shoulder; gingival height from 1 to 6 mm. All abutments are non-indexed and machined from Ti-6Al-4V ELI (ASTM F136). Marking lines on the guide pins are the reference for the gingival-height selection.

Shouldered abutment
Cement-retained crowns and bridges; straight and angled.

Surgical kit and instruments
A two-stage protocol is recommended. Pilot drills with depth stop, then L-reamers and i-reamers used at 50 rpm or less without saline irrigation, so that autogenous bone is harvested in the reamer chambers.

Surgical kit
Pilot drills, L-reamers and i-reamers in every diameter, profile reamers, osteotomes, guide and parallel pins and seating tips, colour-coded in one tray.

Hand instruments
Straight and curved handles, abutment handle, dental hammer, universal inserter and retriever, dental scissors and extraction forceps.

Packaging
Each implant is delivered in a sterile blister with a colour-coded label indicating width, height and well.

Digital solutions
Premill custom abutments are milled from patient-specific designs on pre-machined internal connections; scan bodies, digital lab analogs and Ti-Bases complete the CAD/CAM workflow. The i-System library for exocad — scan bodies, Ti-Bases and premills — is available from Novodent.
- Premills Ø10 · Ø14 · Ø16 mm for 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0 posts
- Scan bodies and digital lab analogs per well
- Shouldered abutment analogs for the laboratory
